Through a B&B Italia ‘Special Project’ in the 1990s, the renowned Italian production house partnered with German designer, architect and artist Uwe Fischer for the ‘Sina’ range which featured the iconic swivelling ‘Sina’ chair.
On offer is four (price per chair) of these iconic and unique chairs, presented in the original black, full hide, Italian leather. Each chair is in near immaculate condition, with only very light patina from minimal use.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Uwe Fischer is a distinguished furniture designer and educator known for his innovative approach to industrial design. He studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach and co-founded Ginbande Design in 1985, where he developed numerous experimental projects that garnered international attention. His work emphasizes the integration of functionality and aesthetics, often reimagining everyday objects to enhance their usability while maintaining a striking visual appeal.
Fischer's notable designs include the versatile Tabula Rasa table, which can extend from half a meter to five meters, and the iconic Sina chair for B&B Italia, recognized for its unique swiveling mechanism and luxurious leather upholstery. His portfolio features collaborations with prestigious brands such as Serien lighting and Wogg AG, showcasing his ability to blend high-tech elements with practical design solutions. Each piece reflects his commitment to creating adaptable furniture that meets the evolving needs of users.
In addition to his design practice, Uwe Fischer has made significant contributions to education as a professor of Industrial Design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart since 2001. Previously, he served as Head of the Department of Architecture/Design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg from 1994 to 2001. Through his teaching and mentorship, Fischer continues to inspire a new generation of designers, fostering a spirit of curiosity and experimentation in the field of furniture design.
