'UNTITLED' BY ELIGIO SINCIC (1973) SURREALIST ORIGINAL WORK
A 1973 Alumni of the National Art School, Eligio Sincic painted this work whilst at the school, a beautiful example of the surrealist exploration of the period. Also a member of the popular 1970s band ‘Ray Brown and the Whispers’, Sincic was a promising young artist featuring in The Bulletin ‘Painting and Sculpture’ section alongside John Olsen in 1969.
Unfortunately little can be found on Sincic’s works post the mid 1970s.
This is an original acrylic on stretched canvas piece, with painted surrounds and features some light damage as pictured. A dynamic and stunning example of a promising surrealist Australian artist.
Dimensions: 1200mm high x 670mm wide
