1940s BARSONY CERAMICS 'QUEEN' CANDLEHOLDER
An original 1940s/50s Ceramic candleholder (or lamp) produced by Barsony Ceramics.
Barsony Ceramics, synonymous with the production of matt black coloured ceramics from the 1950s and 1960s, was an Australian ceramics manufacturing company operated by George Barsony (1917-2010) and Jean Barsony from the early 1950s to the early 1970s.
This particular piece presents in excellent vintage condition with only light patina across the piece (no chips or cracks) and retains the original brass earrings.
Able to be used as a sculptural piece or rewire as a lamp. A highly collectible and appreciating example of one of Barsony’s finest designs.
