1970s ROBIN DAY FOR HILLE FURNITURE (UK) SWIVELLING CHAIR
A favourite at Alpha Modern, Robin Day was known for his playful designs and designed a range of bucket chairs for Hille furniture (UK) in the 1970s.
This particular example features the rare chrome swivelling base which beautifully contrasts the ‘mission brown’ plastic bucket and ‘espresso’ upholstery. In original vintage condition, the chrome presents beautifully, there is very little patina on the plastic seat back and the original upholstery presents well with only light marking. A fantastic example of an iconic design and perfect as a desk, dining or occasional chair for the interior.
